At Storyboard Events, we're passionate about curating memorable experiences in unique locations. The company is a partnership between three industry professionals. Darren Badenhorst, local restauranteur and globally awarded chef; Callan Austin, Internationally awarded chef; and Thomas Pryor, experienced Event Director. With collaboration being at the core of everything we do, we have hosted a multitude of successful events with some of the country's most reputable brands and venues. We've made long-lasting, impactful relationships that allow us to think outside of the box when planning an event, exceeding our guest's expectations.

Dining in a Silent World
Storyboard Events first event was rekindled and reimagined.
Introducing a curated food and wine experience hosted at the Two Oceans Aquarium, in collaboration with Graham Beck. Guests are invited to join us on a journey through the ocean with an 11-course tasting menu and Cap Classique pairing inspired by the breath-taking exhibits of the aquarium.
The multi-course menu featured ingredients that Chef Callan and Events Director foraged themselves within the week of the event. Dishes were paired with various exhibits and told stories about the ocean and sustainability.
The Chef Collective Project
A summer luncheon between the trees. The Chef Collective Project was a collaborative effort between four phenomenal chefs, a breathtaking venue, and some incredible wine farms. Piet Huysentruyt, a two Michelin Star chef, Darren Badenhorst, restauranteur and internationally awarded chef, Callan Austin, Executive chef of Storyboard Events and S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy winner of 2019-2021, and Marcus Gericke, Head Chef of Le coin Francais. The luncheon boasted a 16-course menu that paid homage to each chef's story. Tempel Wines and Allée Bleue brought some fantastic pairings to the table, explaining each wine in vivid detail. San Pellegrino and Aqua Panna representatives were present take guests on a never before seen mineral water pairing. Overall, The Chef Collective Project was an immense success, and we will definitely be hosting more in the near future.
We have hosted a variety of private events in various locations. We offer private cheffing and front-of-house service for any occasion, be it in the comfort of your own home or an exclusive gathering in any venue.
